Stat Geek Alert: The 37 contracts represented the 3rd highest total of the year. The highest total was the week of March 11-17, when 40 contracts were signed.
The No. 1 contract was the 14th floor of 944 Fifth Avenue, asking $28.5 million, reduced from $34.5 million when it was listed in May. This full floor co-op has 4 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. The living room, library, and master bedroom all have fireplaces and overlook Central Park. The ceiling height is 10’6”. Monthly maintenance is $21,581. Amenities include doormen and a fitness center. The board allows 50% mortgage financing.
The No. 2 contract was 60W at 217 West 57th, asking $16,050,000, reduced from $18,700,000 when the building started marketing in February 2018. The condo has 3,165 square feet including 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The living room has 10’7” ceilings and views of Central Park. The unit is in Central Park Tower, a 1,550-foot-tall skyscraper with 179 units and over 50,000 square feet of amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, and a children’s playroom, plus a ballroom, bar, dining facilities, and a cigar lounge.
