Stat Geek Alert: That dramatic week-over-week decline masked some good news: Although September is typically one of the slowest months of the year, September 2024 registered 97 contracts, surpassing the month’s 10-year-average of 71 contracts.
The No. 1 contract was 7A at 211 West 84th Street, asking $15,450,000. This duplex condo was sold off floorplans; it has 4,962 square feet including 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. A corner 39-foot living room features a woodburning fireplace and double-height ceilings. Downstairs is the living room, formal dining room, eat-in kitchen, and library/5th bedroom. The building is called The Henry, an 18-story, 45-unit condo designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern. Amenities include doormen, a concierge, a spa and fitness center, and a rooftop terrace, plus a restaurant.
