Twenty-eight contracts were signed last week in Manhattan at $4 million and above, 10 more than the previous week’s dismal total. Condos outsold co-ops,
21-5, with 1 condop and 1 townhouse in the mix.
The No. 1 contract was the 9th floor of 2 East 67th Street, asking $44,500,000; it has been on and off the market since May 2022, starting as high as $49,000,000. It is the most expensive co-op to sell in Manhattan in 22 months. The full-floor co-op has 4 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. A living room, library, and formal dining room span 60 feet overlooking Central Park. The unit was purchased for $26 million in April 2007 and then renovated. Amenities in the building include doormen, gym, storage, and wine cellar storage.
The No. 2 contract was West 34B at 500 West 18th Street, asking $25,600,000. The unit has 5,121 square feet including 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. A 51’ x 30’ great room overlooks the Hudson River and is flanked by 2 loggias totaling 459 square feet. The unit is in a condo known as One Highline. Amenities include a fitness center, 75-foot lap pool, spa-treatment rooms, a golf simulator, children''s playroom, private dining, a games lounge, and a garage. Services are offered from the adjacent Faena Hotel, which is part of the project.
