30 Contracts Signed

Thirty contracts were signed last week at $4 million and above, 10 fewer than the previous week. Condos outsold co-ops, 18-8, and 4 townhouses were in the mix.

The No. 1 contract was Unit 56 at 23 East 22nd Street, asking $16,995,000. This full-floor condo has 3,310 square foot condo including 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. It was purchased for $9,730,952 in December 2018, and then the owner spent the next 2 years gut renovating it. The building is known as One Madison, and has amenities that include a doorman, concierge, fitness center, pool, steam room, screening room, and a private dining room.

The No. 2 contract was 16B at 15 Central Park West, asking $15.25 million, reduced from $15.5 million when it was listed in October. The unit has 2,367 square feet including 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. A side-by-side living room and dining room spanning 27 feet overlook Central Park.

15 Central Park West was designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern. Amenities include a 14,000-square-foot fitness center with a 75-foot pool, a private restaurant for residents only, a landscaped motor court and garage, library, business center, game room, outdoor terrace, and children’s playroom.
